ActionScript / Flex based UI development master. ( AKA Flex Master Flash )
We are looking for someone who take can take ActionScript and Flex and bend them to your will to create highly animated, interactive application interfaces. You will work in concert with a small, fast thinking, over-ambitious team in an attempt to bring an entire industry into the mobile millennium. Deadlines will be tight, requirements will change on the fly, but the rewards could be great, and there will ALWAYS be enough coffee.
Position Description:
Funded startup is looking for an ActionScript based UI developer to build a suite of highly interactive mini-application interfaces. You will work closely with a small development team with an emphasis on design, user experience, and over all coolness.
Responsibilities
• Taking a well written spec and turning it into a living breathing piece of UI art • Develop interface solutions in Flex/AIR environment with XML data and web services • Work with developers to define XML data and web services • Work with other developers to design object-oriented user interface framework
What You Need!
• A mastery of ActionScript 2.0/3.0
• Solid experience with Flex and AIR
• Object-oriented analysis and design knowledge is essential • Experience in developing interactive, graphic based application GUIs • Development experience in object-oriented programming language • Experience with working with XML data or web services required

DIGITAL MEDIA DESIGNER – Near Del Mar 92130
SUMMARY:
The Digital Media Designer acts as part of the Curriculum Development Team to assist in the creation of online courses for Vistage International and design the learning portal. Responsibilities include: Designing and creating behavioral simulations, design and develop TLC web-presence and user-experience, creating and maintaining a database of digital media assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Design and implement online multi-media simulations and learning modules.
2. Collaborate closely with Production Coordinator and other Curriculum Development team members on projects and progress.
3. Remain current with and have a thorough understanding of the latest industry technology tools and trends in online education, and implement improvements.
4. Coordinate multiple projects, including producing high quality work under tight deadlines.
5. Maintain existing ActionScript 3 code for the Flash platform
6. Redesign web presence for the chair training, learning, and curriculum.

· UI Design strengths in computer-based interactive medium required
· Must be proficient in Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, and HTML
· Knowledge of good Web design practice
· Proficient design skills and time-based media design
· Must be well-organized and able to organize and maintain a high volume of multi-media assets
· Media-production experience is a definite plus
· Ability to think outside the box
· Ability to record and edit audio
· Proficient photography skills
· Ability to edit video
· Must be very computer literate with understanding of database, computer systems, and general administrative functions
· Advanced degree in a Liberal Arts Degree is preferable
· Experience in a corporate level environment dealing with high-level executives and high regard for professionalism in appearance and communication skills
· Proficient, strong-knowledge, and recent application of all Microsoft Office applications
· A quick learner, problem-solver, and multi-tasker is highly recommended and preferred
· Flexibility, punctuality, reliability, and adaptability to a diverse environment
· Knowledge of Adobe Flex and other Adobe software is a plus
· Hand-coding of HTML/CSS is preferred
· Some XML or HTML knowledge is necessary
Reality Check Studios
Reality Check Studios is in search of an adventurous software engineer interested in working on cutting edge interactive projects for a leader in 3D broadcast graphics and visual effects (see ESPN, CBS Sports, DirecTV).
The ideal candidate will have experience working in Flash using ActionScript 3 with an emphasis on 3D and have a desire to expand on those skills with higher end applications like VizRT. Knowledge of websites, UI design, databases, networks, and servers would also be useful to possess.
While Reality Check is based in Los Angeles, this is a full-time, in-house job at our satellite office in Encinitas, just steps from the beach in San Diego’s North County. It’s the perfect opportunity to work for a highly respected Hollywood design studio without having to actually live in LA. We also have opportunities for contract work on a project-by-project basis rather than full-time, so if you prefer to be a consultant please make a note of that when you apply.
Experience level is not as important as having the right attitude and combination of skills to find creative solutions while developing groundbreaking interactive projects.
