BarCamp San Diego

July 6th, 2010 Chris Griffith

BarCamp San Diego 7 is upon the horizon. It’s slated for July 10th and 11th at the Intuit Campus in Carmel Valley.

What is BarCamp?
BarCamp is an international network of “unconferences” where alpha geeks, industry professionals and others passionate about Internet culture, technology, and life online can meet and share ideas and projects. It is built on the philosophy that anyone who builds or uses the Internet on a regular basis has something to learn and something to teach, so every attendee is also expected to be a presenter (but we’re pretty lenient for first timers).

Flash Platform Evangelism Kit

June 11th, 2010 admin

I know a number of people mentioned that they were having some issues trying to convince their organizations that they should purchase and/or upgrade to the latest Flash Platform software. Adobe has just put together the Flash Platform Evangelism Kit to help resolve these type of issues. The kit provides useful information to commonly asked questions, and other blockers to new technology. You can find it here: http://www.adobe.com/flashplatform/evangelism_kit/

Hope this helps!

2010 March Mingle

March 13th, 2010 Chris Griffith

It’s time to open up your calendar and get set for March’s biggest tech
mixer! March Mingle <http://marchmingle. com/> will be held on the
evening of Tuesday, March 30th, 2010 from 6:30 to 9:00 at San
Diego’s newest and hottest Italian restaurant in North Park, Il
Postino.

If you don’t remember, or haven’t been to one yet, March Mingle is a
night in which San Diego’s tech community gets together for a mixer of
epic proportions that’s all about socializing and enjoying a fun
atmosphere with good food, drinks, and people. There won’t be any
presentations, demos, or pitches of any kind — this event is for
trading war stories, swapping tips and tricks, and just having a great
time. This event is technologically agnostic; whether you develop for
the iPhone or write login pages like a code monkey, we’d love to see you
there!

And special thanks to HP Touch Printing <http://hp.com/ touchprinting>
for sponsoring, we are able to offer our sixth annual March Mingle for
free! If you would like to have your user group attend, please reply
back to this email so we can get an idea of which groups will be
represented. The venue is limited to 300. We wouldn’t want you to miss
this awesome event so make sure to RSVP if you plan on attending.

Please help spread the word by posting to your user groups forum /
website or send an email blast to your group list with this invitation.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Phelan, Enrique, Patrick, June, Jen and Jarin
