January Meeting:
We are pleased to announce that Doug Winnie, Principal Product Manager for Adobe Flash Catalyst, will be joining us once again this month. He will be presenting an overview of all the current features of the Flash Platform, and give all of us the chance to give our feedback, feature requests, and ideas! This is a really great opportunity to share your thoughts and interact directly with the Adobe product team!

Session Description:
Combine Ingredients, Mix, and Bake: Contribute to the Future of the Flash Family of Tools
In this collaborative session, see the latest workflows that are part of Flash Catalyst, Flash Builder and Flash Professional, and collaborate directly with the product team on what you want to see as part of the future of these tools. This session will review the current features of Flash Platform Tools and ask you for your recommendations on new feature ideas. Having direct impact on upcoming features can be a rare event, so be sure to come and share YOUR thoughts on Adobe Flash Catalyst, Flash Professional and Flash Builder.
About Doug:
Doug Winnie is Principal Product Manager for Adobe Flash Catalyst, Adobe’s interaction design tool for the Flash Platform. In addition to Flash Catalyst, Doug is product manager for Flash Platform workflow, integrating Flash authoring and development tools with Creative Suite, and WorkflowLab, a new initiative to help build community around workflows and best practices; helping teams be successful when undertaking new workflows. Doug oversees the integration of Adobe’s platform and creative products, building roadmaps for product evolution and evangelizes the workflow to designer and developer communities.
Doug is also an instructor at San Francisco State University focusing on Internet technologies including Flash, ActionScript, XML and Ajax.
Prior to joining Adobe, Doug led interactive design and development teams creating web sites and applications for Scion, Lexus, Toyota, Nestle, and other leading companies. Doug’s work has been nominated for two Webby awards in 2007 for the Industrial Light and Magic: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest promotional site.
Doug has provided development and design expertise to the e-learning community, developing interactive applications, instructional design plans and graphic designs for various companies as an independent consultant. In 2001, Doug served as creative strategist for DigitalThink, providing creative direction and vision for various e-learning engagements including Adobe, Marsh, and Citibank.
