November 4, 2009
6:00 pmto8:00 pm

Go beyond the standard Flex Charting to focus on creating innovative and compelling data visualizations used to solve a wide range of data visualization challenges. We’ll discuss various design patterns and techniques used for mapping data, defining layouts, and rendering customized visual outputs. We’ll take a deep dive with several examples and explore common design patterns you can use in creating your own innovative data visualizations.

We will also cover Axiis, an open source data visualization framework designed for beginner and expert developers alike.

Whether you are building elegant charts for executive briefings or exploring the boundaries of advanced data visualization research, Axiis has something for you.

Axiis provides both pre-built visualization components as well as abstract layout patterns and rendering classes that allow you to create your own unique visualizations.

Axiis is built upon the Degrafa graphics framework and Adobe Flex 3
